Local playwright, Nadine Bernard, brings her newest work to the Van Vleck House. Join us for a reading that explores romance, imagination, women's rights, and sexual mores of the Victorian age. The play tells the story of Ester Howland, "The Mother of the American Valentine" who began a greeting card business in the mid-nineteenth century and made Valentine's Day famous.
