OPEN CALL 2010 for artists in residency

Applications are now being accepted for the 2010 at La Macina di San Cresci.
We are located above Greve in Chianti in the heart of Tuscany, between two great cities of the Renaissance: Florence & Siena. The artist residency program provides the ideal combination of living and working in a setting of truly inspirational beauty. Artist residency consist of sojourning from 7 to 90 days, with a possible time extension subject to availability.
This period covers a program based on the personal project proposal presented.
As an archive of activities is scheduled to publish a yearbook representative of the various experiences hosted and produced using photos and texts of artists and events.
The artists with a special interesting project have a public event that offer a venue to test their ideas in a dialog with other artists, and the general public. 
Help will be given from La Macina di San Cresci staff to organize a local exhibition on a theme related to their Residency project.

Crystal Springs Resort is creating a new Village Center and Artist Colony.  Http://www.crystalgolfresort.com/, is a 4-season residential resort in Hardyston (northwestern NJ, 47 miles from Manhattan) that will be breaking ground on a new mixed-use Village Center in 2010. This large-scale, innovative project will be comprised of a diverse range of retail outlets, varied restaurants and cafes, entertainment, recreational amenities, homes and professional office space.
 
One of the main anchors and focal points of the Village Center will be the new Artists' Colony, a live/work community which will allow artists from all disciplines to create their art, sell it to the public, and share their passion with interested art students.
