The Montclair Gallery Association was founded in the spring of 2006. Its goal is to promote and market the work of Montclair's art galleries. The commercial galleries in the association are Artpace 129, Dupre Gallery, Essex Fine Arts, Gallery 51, Gallery Loupe, the Jacklyn Kling Gallery, JKK Fine Arts, Makeready Press/Gallery 214 ArtSpace, Midland Gallery, and three nonprofit museum/galleries: the Montclair Art Museum, Studio Montclair's Block Gallery and the George Segal Gallery at Montclair State University. The association publishes a Gallery Guide, which includes a map and information on all the member galleries. Twice a year they host a Gallery Walk, which is a Sunday afternoon tour of all the galleries. The first Gallery Walk took place in October of 2006, the second in May of 2007.
